Faculty

Currently we do not have Faculty openings, but we welcome resumes for our files. You will be contacted should an opportunity arises.

The Patel Conservatory at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center is seeking qualified part time faculty in all areas of the Performing Arts.  Our selection process includes an in person interview, a brief performance/audition (or recording of same) and a brief demonstration of teaching technique.. 

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • BA (or higher) degree in Arts, Education, Community Arts or a combination of education and experience,
  • In depth knowledge and expertise in a specific arts discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a teaching artist or the equivalent classroom and performance experience or have been a professional artist working in field of expertise within the last 5 years.
  • Must possess knowledge and practice of effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe learning environment.   
  • Ability to instruct different styles of learning to meet the needs of all students.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.

Under Florida Statutes 817.36 Resale of Tickets, which took effect July 1, 2009, it is illegal for any person or entity to offer or resell a ticket to any performance at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center for more than $1 over this nonprofit institution’s originally assigned price. Substantial penalties are in place for violators. All TBPAC tickets are covered by the statute and contain a notice that they cannot be resold for more than their originally assigned face value. To keep our tickets affordable and accessible, violators will be prosecuted.
