Theater Policies

  • There is a maximum ticket allotment of eight tickets per account/household/business. (For some shows, it may be less.) In the interest of preserving affordable ticket prices for all patrons:
    • TBPAC is not responsible for tickets purchased through unauthorized third parties.
    • Our tickets may not be resold at a premium.
    • We reserve the right to refuse to sell tickets to ticket brokers. We also reserve the right to revoke any tickets sold to ticket brokers through a full refund of the face value. Anyone holding a revoked ticket will not be allowed in the theater.
  • Tickets ordered within nine (9) days of the performance will be held at Will Call and will not be mailed. To pick up tickets from Will Call, you must show photo I.D.
  • All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to attend any performance at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
  • To ensure optimum enjoyment for all patrons, we strongly recommend that children under the age of 5 not attend shows other than those in the Kid Time and Wee Folk Series and those designated as toddler friendly. Broadway shows are not toddler friendly. All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
  • Additionally, even for children over the age of 5, many shows would not be enjoyable or suitable. Some shows contain mature content, language or themes. Parents are best qualified to determine what is appropriate for their children. To help you make an informed decision, we encourage you to seek additional information. If you still have a question, please e-mail us at comments@tbpac.org and we'll try to help.
  • We do urge that parents consider their children's interests, maturity and attention span, and also the rights of people seated around them. We want the theater to be a good experience for everyone.
  • Please note that anyone making a disturbance during a show will be asked to leave — no matter what their age.
  • Some Toddler Friendly shows may offer lap tickets. Individual show policies for lap seating vary. If purchasing tickets for a child under 18 months old, ask if the show has a lap ticket policy and what it is.
  • Cameras, tape recorders or any other recording devices are not permitted in any theater.
  • Please turn off, or onto vibrate, all cell phones, pages and PDAs. These devices also may be checked at the Ambassador station. Patrons on emergency call may ask an Ambassador to monitor their pager or cell phone and be notified if they receive a call.
  • Bottled water purchased here is allowed into almost all shows and theaters at TBPAC. Policies on other drinks and food vary by show and by theater. Check with the bartender or server for the most current information for your specific show.
  • Because of Fire Department regulations, no smoking, lit matches or lit lighters are allowed inside the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
