ABOUT THE SHOW

Another classic Jobsite Halloween treat
By Lori Allen Ohm, based on the screenplay by George Romero
Directed by Chris Holcom

Fallout from a satellite probe shot to Venus returns to Earth carrying a mysterious radiation that transforms the unburied dead into flesh-eating zombies. Seven people trapped in an isolated farmhouse, held hostage by the ravenous ghouls, begin to turn on each other as the dead encroach. A gripping terror-filled play that brings all the fright of the cult classic to life. This blend of thrilling horror laced with touches of black humor envelops the audience in the action and unfolds into a shocking theatrical ending. For more information, visit jobsitetheater.org.

Contains adult language, situations and subject matter.

RUNNING TIME

Approximate running time is 75 minutes with no intermission.

REVIEWS

"... the stage version is faithful ... compelling, and not without chilling moments ... Director Chris Holcom sets just the right tone. He has fun with the material without letting it descend into campiness ... [a] thoroughly enjoyable show." – St. Pete Times

"Night of the Living Dead is to modern horror what Ibsen's A Doll's House is to the modern theatre." – Erie Times

"The audience left laughing and smiling. All-in-all this is a fun, entertaining show that put me right in the mood for Halloween." – Tampa Bay Arts Net

"Attention all people who enjoy live theater: the ongoing production of “Night of the Living Dead” ... is an excellent example of well-done live theater ... so well done and entertaining, that even someone who avoids scary movies and haunted houses with a passion, left the theater saying ‘I’m glad I got to see that. It was fun.’" – Examiner.com
