Showcase 2008 will be hosted by the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in Tampa, FL. This annual event, held in a different city each year, attracts more than 400 artists, agents and presenters. The Showcase performances will be held on three stages – Ferguson Hall, Shimberg Playhouse and the Teco Theater – at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and the exhibit hall is located at the Howard Johnson Plaza, which is directly across the street from the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. 

Showcase is for presenters to see juried Showcase performances by outstanding international performing artists. A wide variety of performances are selected to highlight the many possibilities for young audiences.

Showcase is for artists to perform for an audience of presenters who book shows specifically for young people and their families.

Showcase is for agents and managers who represent companies and artists that perform work for young people. Each day at Showcase features dedicated resource room time in a single venue. Refreshments are provided to encourage all presenters to attend and talk to agents and artists representatives.

In June 2007, the international selection committee will meet to select the showcasing artists.
